EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAM
Meet the requirements to become a qualified preschool teacher in the private sector! Earn your Early Childhood Education Master Certificate or Your Early Childhood Education Certificate in Supervision and Administration The School of Continuing Education's Early Childhood Education (ECE) program is the forerunner in quality vocational ECE teacher training. Our certificated curriculum is contemporary and approved by the State Department of Community Care Licensing, and exceeds the State training requirements for teachers and caregivers in licensed, proprietary infant, toddler, preschool and child daycare centers. SCHOOL OF CONTINUING EDUCATION ECE STUDENTS ACQUIRE JOBS! Students with a School of Continuing Education ECE Master Certificate can get jobs in the private sector, including private preschool facilities, church preschools, Montessori and after-school care. The School of Continuing Education ECE program follows the State of California Community Care Licensing requirements in the areas of child development; child, family and community; or child, family and program/curriculum. All ECE classes are held on a trimester schedule of one night per week for 12 weeks, except for the summer session when classes meet twice a week for six weeks.
